№20 Expansion — Happy Pride Month! For me as a nonbinary person, Expansion takes on an extra personal meaning during Pride month. I ask myself, How can I expand celebration of myself just as I am? One way to relate to Pride is to see it as an invitation to experience liberation by intentionally noticing your difference and embracing that difference enthusiastically, and with love and respect. It’s an invitation to reframe “alien” “otherness” as difference deserving of celebration, as something that is normal for all of life on this gorgeous earth! Even the birds at the birdbath are different from each other!

№22 Wild Cosmos — The kinetic energy of the waterfall, cascading in the background is readily understood as the energy of movement. What you don’t see because it exists before it becomes kinetic is what in physics is called, potential energy. You find it in the string of a bow before it is released, or in the legs before the jump. Without latent energy, there can be no flight of the arrow. Spiritually speaking, the divine spark is potential energy. It’s always present, and yet, like the release of the bow, it requires something for it to become evident in the realm of the physical world.

№21 The Rose of Life — My mother planted roses. When they were just brown sticks, she went down to the rose bed each morning to bow, say good morning, and praise the roses-to-be. I’ve never seen more beautiful roses than who they became. They thrived with all that love and praise. The memory of this proof-of-love was with me while I created this card.
